Calvin Baker is an American novelist.
He attended the University of Chicago Lab Schools, and graduated from Amherst College. He currently teaches at Columbia University, and has also taught at Barnard College.
Esquire Magazine named him one of the best young writers in America in 2005. His third novel, Dominion was a finalist for the Hurston-Wright Award, as well as one of New York Newsday's Best Books of the Year. He currently lives in New York.
Every class is a little bit different. Some classes are relying primarily on a service, where you need a password to get to it. Some classes' teachers are using electronic text books as a resource - not as a primary tool but as a resource and then a lot of our classes are relying very heavily on simply free material that is available on the internet.
