Carol Coletta is currently director of ArtPlace, a collaboration of leading national and regional foundations, federal agencies including the National Endowment for the Arts, and major banks to accelerate creative placemaking across the U.S. Previously, she served as President and CEO of CEOs for Cities and host and producer of the nationally syndicated public radio show Smart City. Before moving to Chicago to head CEOs for Cities, she served as president of Coletta & Company in Memphis. In addition, she served as Executive Director of the Mayors’ Institute on City Design, a partnership of the National Endowment for the Arts, United States Conference of Mayors and American Architectural Foundation.
Another benefit of this is that it will bring the brightest, most talented college graduates in the country to Memphis. Some of them will choose to stay, but they all will have direct experience with the city and they can be great ambassadors for us. The people they touch are the people we want to attract.
