
A Standout Football Player and a Vanier Cup Winner at the University of Western Ontario, Sandy was drafted into the Canadian Football League and enjoyed an 11 year professional career. With stops in Edmonton, Winnipeg and Toronto, the former Eastern All-Star, culminated his career with back to back Grey Cup Championships. One with the Toronto Argonauts in 2004 and again with the Edmonton Eskimos in 2005. A tireless worker in the community, Sandy list's the influence of his former teamate and Coach "Pinball" Michael Clemons, as one of his greatest influences. "My greatest rewards didn't come as a result of my athletic achievments but rather from the work I was able to do in the community". In 2004 Sandy created and implemented "PROJECT 65", an anti-bullying program that has travelled to over 60 Ontario Schools. After retiring from Professional football in 2006, Sandy founded BODY SCIENCE Ltd. As CEO, Sandy oversees all aspects related to the day to day operations. In 2007 Body Science expanded its Health Fitness Division to include compression and dri-fit athletic wear . In 2008 Body Science added a Sports Management Division, representing athletes from many professional sports and leagues. In 2007, Sandy accepted the role of Niagara Chapter President of the Heart Stroke Foundation. As President, Sandy's leadership has been instrumental in assisting fund raising programs. Sandy plays a strong advocacy role for a number of community based groups.An accompished public speaker, Sandy is also a co-host of Inside The Argos, a weekly hour-long radio show on The Fan 590, every Wednesday with host Mike Hogan. Sandy has appeared numerous times on TSN's show Off the Record with Michael Landsberg. He is also a carded member of ACTRA and has appeared in several small roles including the motion picture The Sum Of All Fears.On the heels of his retirement in 2006 Sandy took his passion for giving back to the community one step further. He ran for public office and is currently the Ward 1 Councillor in The Town of Fort Erie.
